coins trapped under ashtray

got some coins stuck under my ash tray. so the pod doesn't close properly now and my lighter socket no longer works

how do I get behind there??

Take the insert out, and use a torx bit to remove the holding screw. Then gently lever it out - watch out for catching the trim though. Look at this link(its a coupe but ashtray fitting is standard for roadsters also)

I don't keep coins in the ashtray for fear of them getting stuck

I keep my coins(for parking emergencies)-in a plastic camera film case that fits perfectly in the ashtray-was a top tip on here!

got them out, its just a simple screw then the whole unit comes out. I also reconnected the cable the 2p had knocked out so my lighter works again.
