Coilover options

Are there any other options for coilovers besides KW? I've contacted a Tein dealer to inquire about their coilovers... But I think they only make them for non-M which is really bugging me.

H&R, bimmerfest user Moupe has them on his car.

$1198

Oh, I was on modbargains.com and they don't even list those H&R's... Not a bad price too, I'd rather have the Tein's since they're compatible with the EDFC. But I'm pretty sure that Tein doesn't make an application for the M.

Are there any other reputable shops that sell these H&R's? The link you gave me says they're on backorder :(

Any of the H&R distributors should be able to source them:

This is what I would have bought had I not bought the used set of KW V3s I have now, they are not rebound/compression adjustable but seemed perfect on my last car.

thanks for the info, I placed an order through tirerack today. A little more money from them buy they had it in stock. :)

Nitron plan on doing something too. They have just moved premies and it is taking a long time getting back up to full scale production let alone finishing the Z4 kit.

Should be here by Spring though and worth waiting for if you are happy to pay for quality.

Good luck. Make sure you get a set of aftermarket rear-shock-mounts. The stock RSM's are prone to crack with aftermarket suspensions and the rubber is known to wear out prematurely, especially since the H&R coilovers will offer pretty stiff ride, combined with 19" wheels. You don't want to save a couple hundred bucks by not getting these parts, only to have to spend a lot more when they fail (parts + installation/wheel re-alignment + hassles dealing with accessing the rear shock towers, especially if you have a roadster). Rogue Engineering has a type of RSM that allows you to install and uninstall the rear shocks externally. TCK also sells very good quality RSM's.

There has to be some other options besides the following
KW3 ..ok but no TCKline
TCKline ...they make way too much noise ! and they seem to never be able to fix them
H&R ....No adjustability except height

Justincase:

KW V3 (i'd say these are better than the TCK myself, having heard all the issues with the TCK!)
KW Clubsport (the route i'll be going, i think)
TCK (Konis)
H&R
Intraxx
Nitron (in development)
Bilstein PSS10 (in development @ Kelleners)

How many options do you want??

I hear ya ..but i dont even count TCK as they have alot of problems and Nitron is only UK

TCK HAD a lot of problems. The problems are pretty much worked out now. I've mentioned that if I could do it again I'd have kept my KW V3's instead of going with the TCK's - simply because I was one of the first people who bought the TCK kit and I was a guinea pig for them. Sucks for me (and a couple of others). But good for whoever's going to buy the TCK coilover kit for the Z4M now.

You simply can't discount TCK altogether. Their coilover kits for the E46 M3 & the regular Z4 are very proven. It's the best coilover kit out there unless you're willing to pay $4K~$6K. Handling is amazing. Ride comfort is better than stock. Not to mention the 11lbs of unsprung weight you lose compared to stock, or 14lbs of unsprung weight you lose compared to KW V3.

which rsm would you recommend? I was at the rogue site and there were questions like size of shock when I was ordering. Are the H&R street perf coilovers a 10mm or 12mm shock? I was unable to find that info on tirerack or h&r's site...

Bilstein PSS9s or KW Varient 2 or 3 are pefect for our rides. End of the end it strongly depends on how stiff & how low you want your ride to be, on PSS9s I found that he max height is way too low for me to clear some carparks over here so I had to change to KW V3.

Got the H&R coil overs installed a few days ago. There seems to be an improvement in spirited driving, but its worse than stock on bad bumps on the road.

Heres a pic, I'm very happy about the purchase.
