Cockpit trim

Can anyone help me? I need to remove or at least slacken off the plastic trim behind the drivers seat on my 2007 Z4 convertible. To allow me to disconnect, withdraw and replace an electrical contact which looks like a flat washer which can be seen when the top is down and the rubber cover is removed. Think it may have something to do with fitting a hardtop. Any advice will be appreciated.

Theres a guide on here somewhere, you have to start by removing the centre console (the bit with the shelves)
