clutch replacement 35i manual

Did anyone replaced the clutch in their manual transmition car, and if so what clutch did you go for and cost related to part and labor.

i can hear my clutch rumbling /scrapping/ scratching sound that goes way when i press the clutch pedal. i have 60.000miles and its 35i engine

I must say that on 60k so many things ware and still to be changed..ufff....

That's your clutch release bearing that is worn caused mainly by having your foot on the clutch at traffic lights and in traffic jams, the clutch is probably ok.

Can either live with the noise or replace the bearing and the good practice would be to renew the clutch at the same time even though it is still in good condition :x

Thanks Keving1 - i think i can live with the noise until clutch need replacing...as i assume just changing clutch release bearing make no sense as work is the same as replacing the clutch...( less the parts )...
