Clutch Delay Valve

Finally got round to doing this mod, after owning the car nearly 8 years, really simple.
I'm no expert, I clamped off the hydraulic line and removed the delay valve and reconnected the hydraulic line from where the delay valve came from. No fluid seeped out although I did bleed the clutch suspect I could have gotten away with not doing it. The bleed nipple is really awkward to get to specially with the car on stands. What a drastic difference changing from first to second, as well as going back into first again.

I've done the same a week or so ago, but I didn't bother bleeding the clutch. I wish I had done it to my previous Z4 - much more pleasurable to drive.

Yes, it made a huge difference to my E46 325ti - thankfully my E86 already had it done.

Now I just need to get it done to my E90!

Your post has prompted me to do mine today. Think I will drill it out rather than remove altogether though.
Great post cheers

Rather than drilling, the Hydraulic line will just attach in place of the CDV plenty of slack, dont think it will make much difference although I'm no expert.

Don’t waste your time. Just remove it and stick it in the bin.
