Clutch bite

Hoping for some advice. I have a 2005 2.5i e85. All of a sudden (never a hint of this before) the clutch bite has become really small, like 10mm at the top when releasing the clutch. Makes for a bit of a judder in 1st and 2nd (more than usual). Is this likely going to be a new clutch do you think, or relating to the clutch delay valve - which is what I’m hoping . Any advice would be much appreciated.

Likely to be a worn out clutch. Its hydraulic so there is no adjustment.

Thanks Rockhopper. Is that new clutch then and dmf done at the same time?

It’s generally thought to be a good idea to do the DMF at the same time as it’s a pain to have to do the job again when it fails a few miles down the road.
How many miles has your car done?
