Clunking noise when reversing

Hi guys, hope somebody can give me some advice..

My car has started making a weird clunking / thud noise when I reverse if I'm anywhere near full lock. Any idea what it might be? I was told last time I had work done on the car that the front left shock is getting weak, not sure if that would be related..

I've got 19s and Eibach springs, but I'm pretty sure nothing is catching and there is plenty of clearance all round.

thanks for your help!

My guess would be more likely the bearing or bush/joint. Best to get the suspension looked over if you're not up to speed with that sort of thing. Is the noise from the front or rear?

Thanks, think I'l have to pop it to a garage.. definitely feels like it's from the front

It can be deceptive in small cars. If there's anything wrong with the suspension at the front, you'd likely feel it via the steering.

Normal on these and E46's to have the odd clunk on full lock when reversing.

Despite brand new suspension mine does it if I drop of the 1cm transition from drive to road.

If you want to go fixing it I'd start by checking the rear bushes on the front wishbones - aka lollipops.
