For about £6 on eBay I bought some of this stuff

Was sceptical about the claims on how it worked but gave it a go and went form this foggy mess:

In about five minutes will probably go over it again because it's not perfectwhen you look up really close but it's an absolutely massive improvement I definitely recommend this product was the cheapest option I could find online and didn't need sandpaper or a buffer like most of the others

That stuff looks like it's worked really well! I may try some of this myself.

Good stuff. I used the 3m restoration kit which comes with a drill attachment. This works very well.

When I bought my Z the headlights were like the first pic all hazed over so used a whitening toothpaste works very well and came up crystal clear after about 30 mins each headlight finished off with a wax to seal them. They have stayed clear ever since.

Bought some on Amazon (http://amzn.to/1LaOKrs) and just tried it.

Only gave it about 60 seconds of rubbing per light..

Worked a treat on the wife's Rav 4 but not such good progress on my 2006 z4. There is a noticable different but not perfect.

Will give it another go on Sunday when I have more time, and post pics then.

It will be interesting to see how the protector works - since the Rav4 had the lights polished by a mechanic at the last service and were noticeably clearer but faded back to foggyness very fast.

I finally got round to ordering some of this stuff! Are the results still good after time?

Still about the same as when I did it but I do still need to go over it again.. I did it the first time just with a cloth but now have a buffing pad attachment for my drill (about £3 off ebay) so going to do it properly got loads of the stuff left to do it with

i nearly got the 3M set off eBay last week, only thing that stopped me was there wasn't any UV protector or anything to apply once u have sanded the headlight back, what do people use for protection once sanded down?

After polishing the lenses you have to seal them otherwise they will cloud over again

I used a UV protective sealant off amazon to go with my 3M kit. It's probably no different to other sealants, but it comes in a small bottle and was only a few quid.
