Clinking noise from the rear

As above when I am pulling away, only occasionally. Any obvious bits I should check? Sounds like light metal on metal (maybe a loose plate or such like).

I went through similar a year or so ago. Have a look at this post and a vid I made of the noise I had:

There is another link in that thread which suggests a whole heap of things to check which I went through. In the end though I had to replace the diff... Let me know if you need any more info I would be happy to oblige.

Is this an expensive fix or terminal?

It's about 4.5 hours labour. Wasn't terminal in my case, or others on that thread.

If it's the diff input flange there's no damage being done in the short term either... it's more annoying than anything else

Ah that's good. It sounds like the diff, so if it's just putting up with the occasional noise, I can do that. The car only goes once every 2 weeks anyhow!! Plus the TVR has new noises everytime I drive it.

When I changed my clutch I lubed up the joint of the shaft and it seemed to stop mine.

Noticed this on mine today, I am kind of hoping it is a broken spring rather than the diff. Will set to pulling and pushing things to see if anything is lose.
