Took the advice of someone here to use isopropyl alcohol on the plastic rubberised trim on the steering wheel.
No one online will mail isopropyl to Northern Ireland, so eventually found a local company who filled a bottle for me for £2.
Results turned out well. Didn’t bother removing the whee so it was done in situ. Photos don’t do it justice though.
