claying suprise

I got some cheap ones from Sam's club-they're for everything EXCEPT the painted finish of the car. Cheap microfiber can scratch the paint. Megs, Griot's garage, Cobra-all good ones and are used only to remove wax and polish the painted portions.

Re: the costcos ones after many year on multiple cars through my porsches and now the Z4M i use them for drying the car, wheels, windows removing waxes etc and i have no scratches..........they are not have a branded name but they are brilliant :|

just use plenty cloths when doing the car and wash them with a detergent not containing softners as that is almost wateproofing the cloth

try them and dont look back
chamois are poo

Looking good nice reflections.

The AG SRP will be fine after your clay top that off with some AG EGP then a Carnuaba wax for the final touch i use this one http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/victoria-wax/victoria-wax-6oz-concours-wax/prod_234.html leaves a nice glossy wet look but only lasts around 2 months i normaly pop on 3 coats 24 hours between each one.

This wax is also nice on Silver and lasts ages http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/collinite-no-845-insulator-wax/prod_208.html

As said though its all in the prep and claying is the way to go.

Cheap ones are ok, as long as they are still good ones.

Most things come in four types.

Good and expensive, good and cheap, crap and expensive, crap and cheap.

If you find stuff in the good and cheap type, you are away. Branded microfibres are just daft. I know no one who buys expensive ones because they are just the perfect example of snake oil products from the expensive product producers!

If Zymol brought out a microfibre tomorrow for £100 there would be some people buying them, then telling us that anything less was damaging our cars, and we are not worthy yadda yadda :P

You can buy large bottles of the Megs cleaners at much better prices too.

Good bunch... very popular with the chaps at 911UK.
