Before anyone says "use the search" can i just say that I have now spent 2 evenings and most of this morning searching and reading thread after thread on options for connecting an iPod, iPhone or other MP3 device to the pre facelift Business stereo with Carver, Logic 7, DSP (using all terms for it to make it easier for future searchers). I can feel my life ebbing away and don't feel that I'm getting any closer as so many of the threads give conflicting info :headbang:
What I've learned so far.
Auxiliary is the cheapest but some posts say it doesn't work with DSP then some do. If it does it seems the cable from Mini is the best option
Intravee works but is expensive and only really benefits people that have the nav screen.
Dension gateway 300 does not work with DSP. The Dension site confirms this
Dension Gateway 500 supposedly does work. I can't find confirmation of this even on the Dension site
Xcarlink I can't find much on this. Only a thread from someone saying they tried it (no details on what factory stereo they had) and had problems.
Dice does seem to work with the addition of an extra thingy. The thread that I found with info on this briefly outlined an installation that sounded like a right faff with things being plugged into the boot.
SOme of the info above may be wrong as it's only what i've picked up from endlessly scanning through the threads on here. Can anyone give me a definitive answer as to what will work and what it will give?
