Chrome exhaust tips

Somebody told me that the 3.0si coupe came with chrome tips as standard.

Is this true or have i been trying polish mine up in vain? :?

The tips aren't chrome as such but a matt silver.Mine took a bit of a beating during the winter so I'm in the process of getting them powder coated in a metallic silver colour I will post some pics when I get them back.
