Just thought I would give you guys a heads up about a restaurant I went to tonight.

Went to Chez Bruce tonight in Wandsworth with some friends and it was really fantastic, the meal was probably the best ive ever had.

To start I had
Lobster and scallop ravioli with sauce vierge, mascarpone and peas

Main
Côte de boeuf with béarnaise sauce and hand cut chips

and for desert
Chocolate and salted caramel pot with praline brownie and honeycomb

The prices for a Michelin star were pretty good. Its also a bit more casual than a restaurant of this type too. We had a few bottles of wine and we couldn't finish the last believe it or not (was red so they put it in a decanter) so they put it in the back in the bottle and we took it home! Really great night. Staff were really great and the wine expert took us through every wine on the list in a huge amount of detail.

Anyway if anyone wants to know any more info check out the website worth a look seen as tho the majority of the regs are southerners ;)

Does sound lovely..

I have only eaten at 1 Michelin starred restaurant and the food was lovely, but still wanted a bag of chips on the way home :(

Many years ago a girlfriend of mine lived in a flat literally a few doors away from there - remember it being a lovely restaurant. Probably so long ago that it was before they had the star - now I feel old :o
