Checked my Drain Holes today – the ‘Quick and Dirty’ method.

Thanks for posting, I posted the other day about my p/s carpet being wet and my p/s roof drain being clogged so I'll be doing this on Wednesday night :thumbsup:
 
Well I tried and failed to do this last night. Could not find the drain plug. May have been poissble if I had a jack to lift the car but I didn't. If anyone has a photo of the location of the plug that would be great

Power of the forum - 2020 and new Z4 owners still helped by these posts . Off to the garage to look for plastic coated garden wire :thumbsup:
 
A good way to check if the drains are clear is to poor water down the back of the roof and see if it comes out freely both sides. You may still want to check the plugs have no build up, but it is pretty clear if something is blocked too.
 
Old thread but v helpful. Located the drain holes and used me trombone brush but what a pfaff compared to the mk1/mk2 MX-5s I had in the past.
