Managed to get about 6% off + £500 more on a trade in, took a lot of gentle chat, which is fair enough.
Remember the old adage in negotiation.....when there is a "silence" in the flow of chat, "He who breaks the silence, loses the deal"

Also bear in mind that in 4 months time (for UK buyers only) - the price will increase by 2.5% (VAT goes back up).
So don't dilly dally :wink:
I got fed up buying second-hand cars - went the new route.
I find people just do NOT look after their vehicles and every 2nd hand vehicle I've ever purchased has had problems down the line.
Also, before closing the deal, always 'top-up' with a request for the dealer to supply the i-pod interconnect lead (these things should be standard)
