Cheap Winter wheels

I have a set of 17 inch steel BMW Winter wheels with Michelin Alpin tyres, for sale. The tyres all have about 5mm of tread on them. The wheels are fitted with plastic trims which have a few scuffs on them. They are in reasonable overall condition but not pristine by any means. I have had them on two cars, a 320d Touring and an X1. Not sure what else they will fit. If anyone is interested I would be happy to sell them for £90.

I think I would like to take these then please.

Would you be able to check the offset of the rims for me so I can double check they will fit my car ok.
It is usually stamped on the inside somewhere.

I will have a look to see if I can find anything. I had the wheels on a 320d touring and then on an X1.

Hi I can’t find any numbers. The wheels are steel. Whether that has any significance I don’t know. If you don’t live too far away you are more than welcome to come and take the wheels home and try them on your car if that’s any help. I have attached a photo of the inside of one of the wheels.

Cheers
Ian

I found a listing for a 17" steel wheel for the E84 X1 (2009-2015) but it looks slightly different on here:- https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw_alloy_wheels/x1_e84_alloys

But if it they are that size they are 7.5Jx17 with ET34, and ET34 is the same offset as the E9* 3 Series from 2005 to 2011.

To be honest I would have bought them for my 3 Series if it hadn't come with a full set of winters when I bought it!

If they are that size I reckon they'd fit any non-M E85/6, and probably work on an E89 too. I ran 8Jx18 ET29 fronts on my E86 and 8.5Jx18 ET40 rears on my E86 with no rubbing (that I bought from IRD, who is a real gent).

Thank you for the information Iain. Not sure my wife would agree with your observations about me though! Still enjoying the new car?

I'm sure she does really Ian!

Yes, still loving the M. My Tesco is a mile away, but somehow I managed to do 27 miles getting there this afternoon just because!

I know exactly what you mean Iain. I do just the same when I go for the papers each day. Long may it continue.

Thank you very much IRD and Mr Tidy.
That looks like all the info I need to be quite confident they should fit my zed.

IRD, I will drop you a PM so we can arrange a suitable day to pick them up.

Hi JF
That will be fine. Collect them and try them. Don’t pay anything until you are happy with the wheels. PM me when you are able to collect.

Cheers
Ian
