Changing springs to aftermarket ones

Im thinking of buying some aftermarket springs soon but just wanted to hear what experience anybody on here has had with different makes and what sort of advantages/disadvantages theyve got with changing them? (tyre wear, handling, lowering etc.)
Iv also seen wheel spacers advertised for sale quite a bit and just wondered whether they are worth it? do they improve the handling much? does it affect tyre wear?

Am thinking of aftermarket springs too. There doesn't seem to be anything available with a 15mm drop, which I wanted to get to, the Z4 sport ride height. So it's 30mm or nothing. I am going to go with Eibachs if I do it - Eibachs are designed to work with the standard OEM shocks. I am not sure others are match to the OEM shocks. Otherwise I'd be looking at a complete coilover kit.

Not sure why you'd need / want wheel spacers :? ADD: If you are lowering it may cause issues with the clearance on the wheel arches. I guess?

If you want something else to do I'd probably look a poly bushes / strut brace / H&R anti roll bars.

Ive got EIBACH springs on mine which lower the car by -30mm all round.
The car came like this so I can’t say what it was like before - but my 2.5si previous to my 3.0si was on sport suspension and I can tell the difference.
it’s even more sharper and is most definitely noticeably lower - watch out for curbstones, ramps and speed humps tho - you will be scraping them

no noticeable increase in tire wear - just get your car "hunter" aligned after you get new springs fitted to be 100% on no abnormal tire wear!
