I desperately need your help.
Bought an LED kit with a view to changing the rear reversing lights and thought I would see how the fittings come out of the rear lenses. They seemed to be pull out - great - no problem…..
Except that when I pulled the fitting out, the wiring connections became detached from the bulb holder….
There are what look like little spade connectors but I could see exactly how they were connected although it looks like the slide into the two connections at 6 and 12 o clock on tge bulb holder. The obvious solution is to pull another bulb and see how that is done, but I’m terrified that the wires will detach like the first one.
Has anyone done this successfully and reattached the sprung spades from the black and red wires back into the bulb holder?
I was trying for over an hour with small pliers but there is so little room I have come to the conclusion I may have to take off the rear light lens fitting in its entirety in order to have the access required.
Would be really grateful for anyone’s experience with this. Thanks everyone. Never had a car where changing bulbs could be so challenging….
