changing body panel's sterling gray

hi all an ever changed over a body panel im looking at changing my bonnet
as it has a couple of small dings!!
chips away and all them said it will have to be repainted
but if i go a good used one would it match time fading etc etc

never done it of cause things look the same and are the same colour but has anybody done this and regretted it!!

I've changed a gen 1 mini bumper and bonnet over. afaik the colours weren't even the same, slightly different shades of black. Not that I could notice.

Zed might be a different story, I've got a Titan silver, parked up next to another Titan silver zed one time. Mine looked slightly darker and more yellow? I know that sounds weird, I guess its like car headlights UV exposure or some shite like that. The other Zed looked slightly lighter in colour and had a blue type tinge. Both 2003 cars.

Can't remember the member now, but someone had half their car re-sprayed. This was due to parking it in a certain way and the sun bleached half the car...

I'd try it personally. Between the body lines you won't notice a shade or two difference. Only if it's really really different.
