Autovisiondetailing said:So had a little running in with another car recently, caused £140 worth of damage to theirs which has been fixed and just got a quote back from BMW. Going to go with BMW (I think) because my off side wings were replaced under warranty. Looking at the car you can tell they haven't blended the paint correctly well at all! So BMW will basically be respraying the drivers side FOC.
The damage to mine was a dented wing and light scratches (too deep to wet sand) on the rear wing. Just got my quote through.....2 weeks work and it was a good job I was sitting down..........£1484.62
I would need a new wing as the dents are too close to the edge of the panel and 'apparently' the non genuine wings don't fit correctly so would need to be genuine one.
So it looks like the entire car will be getting resprayed...........
I will try to be less obsessed about little stonechips and small scratches here and there from now on. This can happen to anyone. I didn't care at all about my previous car and no scratch or scruff could ruin my day. El Pollo Diablo said:Really sad to hear this. I was looking at your updates as a great example for mine. I guess the more you spend time trying to perfect something, the more it hurts when something bad happens.
