I discovered the turtlewax ceramic spray just before winter hit. First time I've used anything other than old school wax or sealants and I could not believe how good it is.

The 1 year protection claims are nonsense, it was more like 4 or 5 months but that was on our daily driver that saw road salt every day. I think the most I've ever gotten from wax was maybe 3 months.

Things certainly have moved on. I'll never wax a car again.

Interesting. I've got some 'wet wax' in the garage but have never used it, as was a bit worried about the panels drying too quickly on their own before I had chance to finish a panel. Am I right in thinking that the wax mixes with the water, you dry the water off which leaves the wax in place?

I’m using that ceramic wash & wax and it is certainly easy, just add to water, wash car with one of those hedgehog type mittens and rinse of and the beads form as you rinse. If I didn’t have hardish water I’m sure I wouldn’t need to towel dry afterwards.

Beading doesn't really work for me - I want the water to sheet off so it doesn't dry and leave dust spots all over the car.
