Ceramic Pro

Having the Z coated this week with Ceramic Pro so will post some pics once I pick her up.

Having had the RS6 done last year I have to say I was really pleased with the results and the washing process is so much easier :thumbsup:

This was last Thursday when I picked her up;

Look forward to hearing about this. I am having my Zed corrected and Gtechniq's ceramic coating applied later this Summer.

Without being cheeky can you let us know where and the cost?

Thanks and you must be excited to get it back. :thumbsup:

Did the dealer not provide that free of charge? My dealer (Vines) was providing that as part of a new car sale.

The company I am having mine applied is called The Polishing Company in Cramlington and they are the UK importer for Ceramic Pro as a product. They did my S6 and then my RS6 and I have sent them a few cars from friends to do as well as attending a couple of events they went to (shows) with the RS6 so I get a special price - they can be contacted via facebook here - https://www.facebook.com/ceramicpronortheast/?fref=ts

Having just spoken to Mike he has said for a Z4 the price would start at £900 and go up to about £1200 depending on how many coats you want applied and if you want the wheels and glass done etc.

The Ceramic Pro coating is a multi layer coating unlike the Gtechniq which is a one coat application - please have a read up on the Gtechniq as I have heard mixed story's about it - not wanting to diss the product just there are some horror story's out here is all :!: :!:

Pics to follow of her once coated :thumbsup:

You've got an RS6 too ? :o I must have missed that :thumbsup:

I wish, I used to have one - long story but I went from a work horse Passat estate to an S6 Avant as I just could not live with the "bland but ok at everything but not great at anything" Passat. Having waited for 3 months for delivery I took the car away and loved it until one day I popped in to the dealers and the salesman said he had something to show me - he knew I loved cars and took me out back to show me the RS6 and offered me to have a drive.

I said I was not going to buy one having just has the S6 for 3 months and he said that was ok he fully understood but if I wanted I could have the RS6 for a day just for fun. Before I have left the car park I knew I wanted one and after spending the day hooning the RS6 demo I placed an order when I got back later that same day!!

Had it for 14 months and a trader that knew I had it and made me an offer just after I swapped 2 wheels (BMW 1200 GSA) for the Z4 and having too many cars the offer was too good not to take so I sold it.

Now have a Discovery 4 for work and the caravan and the new Z4 for fun along with a Disco 2 for off road fun :thumbsup:

Hehehe lol yeah think they are offering you a Diamond-bright coating :thumbsup:

That one was one of the options, but the other option was the Williams Ceramic coat (just looked at the paperwork). Probably slightly different again.

Yes quite possibly as we sometimes shop in Morrison's and live on the coast - the RS6 has sadly gone now though :thumbsup:

Here is a little from the Ceramic Pro Facebook page about the product and I quote;

"Ceramic Pro 9H permanent paint protection coating is a unique product which lasts for years without requiring any general maintenance. No additional car care products are required to maintain the finish. The multi-layerable coating is super hydrophobic, has high levels of abrasion resistance and can not easily be polished off! Environmental contaminants such as tree sap and bird lime etc do not affect it and it adds anything up to 8 microns of protective layer to the paint While the costs of the application are high compared to other products commonly offered by dealers and other companies. The packages include a full day's paint correction and prep as standard. While many products offer long warranties based on laboratory tests. Real life testing is the only way to really test products and we have now had Ceramic Pro on a vehicle which has been treated for over 3 years, covered in excess of 30,000 miles and has only had one "top up" coat to date. The car still looks as bright as the day it was treated, has picked up negligible stone chips and takes just 10 minutes to wash, hardly requiring the use of more than water and a small amount of shampoo. Minor scratches from car park incidents have simply been polished out. We firmly believe that Ceramic Pro is the best costing currently available for your car and over a five year period the cost is probably less than most enthusiastic owners would spend on car care products and hand washes !! If its permanent should it not last forever? :P

Hence most state semi-permanent ;)

These products really are superb and the likes of GTechniq and CarPro (some of the originators of silica coatings) are constantly updating their products to make them better and easier to use. Car looks great :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
