Ceramic Coatings

Thoughts?

I see claims of 2 years worth of protection - but in what form is this? Is it like having a strong wax coat that lasts longer (thus more resisitant to hand car washes, or reduces need for waxing?)

Anyone had it done, or have any photo examples of it in action over time and willing to recommend? Also what's a price worth paying?

For lack of a better picture of ceramic coatings, here's a picture of a cat:

Just picked my car up from getting a coating. I got Gtechnique Crystal and two coats of exo on top after a two stage correction.

No clue as yet of how easy it is to clean but since picking it up I have got home and done 150 miles in dusty conditions and rain so now needs a clean!

Will let you know how I get on when I clean it but have been told that all cleaning should be non contact. Pressure wash-spray apc- pressure wash- foam- final rinse- done. Crystal coating guarenteed for 7 years.

Didn't need to use the wipers when it was raining with the G1 coating as well.

A couple of pics at my dads house after dropping off the holiday tobacco. This was after driving 60 miles.

I have F1 williams ceramic coating applied to my white M135i and really pleased with the results, claims lifetime protection  (but I think thats recoated every five years if needed if i keep the car)

No need to wax or polish just a general wash is all that it required now

Ill add some photos tomorrow if i get around to cleaning it :D
