Centre console trim removal help please

I've been through the 'how to' sections and can only find an Italian guide which my Google translate is struggling with.
Can anyone give me a few pointers on how to remove the centre console please :thumbsup:
 
You mean the cubby hole at the back etc? I have written a guide on that one in the past.

I did see that thread, well done by the way. What I am interested in knowing is, is it necessary to actually remove that entire back console in order to have to remove the console between the seats? It would appear from your photo that all that is necessary is to release the two side restraining bolts and loosen the thing, enabling the center console to come free?
 
The Sussex brigade like to do a full job properly! :thumbsup: Well aside from the bits PVR still has in his garage that I haven't noticed weren't replaced.... :D

Whilst watching (I have zero technical ability) my car come apart, it surprised me how much had to come out to access the relevant areas, in this case to fit an intravee. When it has been done by owners before it all seems very simple - aside from PVR suggesting we just left it in bits & headed for lunch / left for the day :poke: joking aside, their help took me through things I was simply incapable of, and remain hugely grateful for time, help, effort & meeting some of the highest posters here!

@PVR, you know my lack of skills, but happy to offer my services in return with the quad port extension...I can borrow a chainsaw to speed things up for you :evil:
 
It's a fiddly PITA - took me about an hour to get it all out when I needed to remove the roof latch. 10 mins to put it all back!

There is a few steps missing from those instructions.

I ended up with bits everywhere in the end including springs out of the rear cubby box. Now I've done it once I'm sure it would be a little easier
