Centre Console Storage Box Removal

Hi All,
I really hope someone can help me.
I'm trying to remove the centre console storage box to run some cables for my iPod.
I am following the pictures in the following topic:
http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=8407&hilit=help+removing+center+console+storeage+box
I'm stuck at the point of removing the small recessed coin tray which is the 15th photo down.
The front of the centre console doesn't seem to lift away with this still in place and I can't get this small tray out.
Is there a special technique for doing this without marking panels?
Any help much appreciated!

Ok, as they are my pictures I could possibly help :)

The material is soft, so just use your fingers to get around the edges and pull up. Pull from both sides up at the same time.

But - to be honest, for what you want to do there is no need to remove it ...

These are the only two holding the bottom down (as well as the 2 side screws of course):

Remove those 2 screws as well. The plastic cover just pops off.

be extra careful that's all. try wedge some tape (electric) before you push t a flat screwdriver in. or try get hold of PVR he seems to know  good luck...post how u did it after.

Thanks guys.
Eventually managed to pop it out with the aid of the smaller hands of my 15 year old son!
He managed to get enough force on it through the opening where the two lower screws are to allow it to pop out.
So, auxiliary cable is routed in.
All I need to do now is search for a suitable place for switched power and route that to the same place.....
... unless anyone out there knows of a suitable power source!!
I was wondering about tapping in to the power supply for the radio as it has the timed manual override which would be ideal for the Kensington iPod interface/charging cable.
Is this a good idea or not?
Very grateful for the help so far.
