Centre air vent - part number?

I'm replacing my old (grey) headunit with a newer, MP3-playing black one.

Can anyone supply the part number for the air vents above the headunit but in BLACK (the air vent in black, not the numbers lol). I prefer to go "equipped" when I go to any dealer's parts desk...

Cheers

Will you not have to change the side vent's aswell to keep everything the same colour. :poke:

When I got it for the previous car, it was just over £30 from the dealer ...

Ah, cheers folks. I was never sure what realoem was (I thought it was a disc of info, not a website that I could access myself). Real OEM duly noted for future reference...

Cost: £56.47

:o

Just as well I got the headunit for a bargain as that's bloody steep for a bit of plastic! And I won't be changing the side vents - are they not black anyway? Can't think at the moment. They're far enough away from the centre that I ain't fussed.

Well, I won't be needing the black vents any longer...

I'd bought a 2007 standard BMW Business headunit with the black front (i.e. MP3-playing) to replace my 2004 (non-MP3-playing) grey headunit. Of course, that meant that the centre air vents above the headunit wouldn't match.

So, this post my psygnosis earlier today got me thinking: could the front of the headunits be swapped over, i.e. fit the grey front to the MP3-playing headunit?

Well the answer is........ YES :dance2:

Got home from work
Removed air vents
Removed old headunit
Undid 6 torx (T9) bolts holding front plate to rear part
Undid the wiring connector between the front panel and actual headunit
Did the same with my new headunit
Put it all back together
Et voila, one grey-fronted headunit that plays MP3 discs :)

psygnosis, cheers mate, I owe you a beer if you're over this side of the pond - you've just saved me £60 by not having to buy black air vents :D
