Central locking not working on Fuel cap

Ladies and Gents,

I'm now a proud owner of an 07 plate BMW Z4 coupe 3.0Si in Montego Blue. Absolutely stunning car and I'm over the moon about it. Its in perfect condition however, I've one question, is there meant to be central locking on the fuel filler cap? If so, mines not working and would like people to post some suggestions on how to check if the solonid is broken.

Any ideas?

i suspect yours is the solinoid which is broken... its a small plastic pin that pops into place.

Mine def locks.. and can see it move when locking the car!

Great, at least I've established that it should lock!

Is this something I can do myself? I can see that there's a torex screw that holds the filler cap shroud on, is it a simple case of un screwing this then taking everything out form here? I've tried googling it but to no success!?
