Central locking intermittent issue

Hi guys, I've been having this intermittent problem where the central locking won't work sometimes. The button on the key won't open the car and neither does the center console button. I can hear it clicking though, as if it's trying to unlock the doors, but it can't manage it. And locking always works just fine, only unlocking is broken.
The OBD reader showed me a central locking relay error.
Could this be the issue? Is it difficult to replace?

Sounds like a GM5 module fault is the cause if your central locking problems. You need to see what type of GM5 module is fitted to your car, fairly easy to get to it once you take the glovebox out. Its a long oblong plastic case with two multi pin connectors plugged into it. You can take it out to have a good look at it, these modules are plug and play so no immediate coding is required. You could get a replacement from one of our resident Breakers on here once you know the type you need. An alternative is to send yours away to Merv in Harrogate who repairs them.
