Central console trim removal

While I was looking for something else in a folder, I came accross that old Italian forum site where a guy had step by step instructions on how to remove that center console trim. I had saved it with all the original pics (which most have since been removed by the author) Everything was translated to english by google.

I had also saved his pictured instructions on how to remove both dash trims. If anyone is interested, just PM me and I'll send you the word documents I've saved them in. Don't know how to post a word document here.

cheers

powerontap, that's an invaluable resource - you could ask one of the mods to post it up in the how-to section ? I'm sure they can get it uploaded... Or upload it to a Dropbox account ?

Sounds like the same ones I email out to people when they ask. I'll upload them on here.

We co und do with a locked how to thread which just has PDF files in it.

That would be great guys. I will need to remove my centre console in the near future so this would be really helpful

In fact if you could pm me with the guides I would be really grateful!

Removal takes me 10 minutes now, one of those things that once you know where the screws are it is very easy.

Coupe is even easier.

Is that because the coupes are not built so good? :poke: :)

Takes a bit longer if your taking the trans tunnel part out as well though, the knee pads are a real PITA to remove.

powerontap, Z4-forum does not host user content. Much like using photobucket for images, you need to host your content somewhere and provide everyone with a link to it here. Not an endorsement, but for example, for non-image content, I use google sites. It's supposed to be for hosting websites for dummies (no offense to dummies intended), I have a very minimal "site" and really just use it to host and direct link content like pdf and zip files. 10GB storage free, 10MB file size limit. Users do get some sort of stupid interstitial page when downloading content, so less than ideal. No worries of your paid for bandwidth getting slash dotted. As an example only. It pains me to use and promote google, so they must be doing something right.

btw, I literally lol'd at your avatar image.
