Center Gravity Open Day - Any Interest

Spent the day with Chris getting the car set up. His reputation is peerless and i have been a happy customer since he opened doors about 20 years ago. Its only the third time i have used his services. First for my 964, then my 997 gt3 and now my z4mc. he is a two hour drive from me but well worth it esp the return after he has done his thing
Curious if anyone would be interested in an open day at their workshop in Atherstone, Warks? He will need between 5 and 10 cars to make it worthwhile and depending on interest, i could throw the invite open to the folks at the alpina forum

let me know if interested in principle - would likely be a saturday thing arriving in the morning leaving in the mid PM.

Sounds worthwhile, I'd be interested. Straight down the A5 for me too :)

quick update
at center gravity again today chatting to chris and it looks like april 27 might be a sensible option
how does that suit the folk that were originally interested?

April 27th I'm flying to Cyprus, although the other half can bring it down so that would work for us.

I’d be interested in this and I have a friend who might be as well - although I’d be keen to know what’s involved in an ‘open day’ before committing!

ok sounds good

so theres a couple of options based on numbers / interest

1. tech talk - a discussion and Q&A around the basics of geo with cars on table/beissbarth ie an 'as is' evaluation
2. health check - the initial part of the standard service where there is an evaluation test drive with the owner riding shotgun and then into the workshop with the car on ramp and snapshot of camber/caster/toe with the car rigged onto the table/beissbarth and recommendations as to what changes based on drivers preferences so an 'as is' evaluation with recommendations around 'target'. given time this might restrict us to 1 car only on the ramp as chris will be going 'into the zone' and those that know chris will know that means!
3. a combination of the above (again depends on numbers but more likely only viable if there are less than a handful of cars)

in all cases there will be ample supply of breakfast rolls and coffees, teas etc

on my visit on saturday there were the following entrusted to chris et al

- carrera gt
- m3 csl
- 956
- rsr-based racecars
- sid and jazz (2 border terriers)

we would want to be there around 3-4 hours arrivals for say 0930 to start at 1000 and carriages home 1300

ill be putting the above out to the alpina folks with a view to getting confirmations of interest over the coming week or so so i can give the center gravity ample notice

cheers
