Celsus fascia adaptor

Hi all just wondering has anyone else tried to fit an aftermarket headunit to their car with a celsus ice fascia adaptor.. i can't figure out for the life of me how it's supposed to fit as the hole for the locating dowel at the back of the headunit is too far to the left and the little piece of plastic supplied is a little confusing as to how it's supposed to be used to alter this

any pictures etc would be a great help

Is this the 2 piece fascia that looks like this......

I know i didnt use that little extra bit of plastic.
