cdv best supplier

spoke to bmw today to order a new cdv to modify before swapping over, looked on realoem and that says 15 dollars , usually i convert those prices to gbpounds and its roughly right, bMW want 50 quid and its not in the country; have they jacked the prices because they know what were going to do to it ? is there a supplier in the uk who will supply a modified one , i think zuckhausen ? are about 80 pounds or dollars , not sure, or is it best to modify existing valve whilst off and then refit, guess thats cheapest unless you damage it trying to punch it out. any sugestions welcome, thanks.

UK and USA prices will be massively different. Their tax rates are different plus they may locally supply the part from a company that makes them for BMW.

I got mine from zeckhausen although haven't got round to fitting it yet. It was only £15 odd but with postage it went up to about £35 IIRC.

Why change the CDV? I just removed mine completely, there is no issue in terms of line length due to the fact that the flex hose loops back on itself. The male and female pipe fittings directly fit without the CDV in between. If for some reason you want to have it in place when the car goes to the dealer, just put it back in before you take the car there.

hey moneypit, sounds good idea, never knew this was even an option as just went with what most on here said in previous posts, i will look undereneath asap to get my head round diy, so then it just becomes a case of bleeding the clutch ? anyone else have an opinion on this route ?
