weather was perfect and i had this cd which i wanted to hear while i'm heading to slavery :driving:
i open my roof and suddenly the cd doesn’t want to get out from the cassette !!!!
i closed the roof and skip work :D ( i wish this part would happen but it didn't, i just went to work)

how do i get the cd out!!! anyone can help

One of two options.

Does the Cd try to get out? If so, you can assist it with another cd to see if you can lift it out as it is most likely just getting caught.

If it does not make a noise, i.e. trying to get out, then you need to remove the radio and lift the top of it to manually take it out. However, you need to remove the airvent from the dash first to get to the screws that hold the radio in.

thanks for ur reply. well it makes some noise and write cd error !!!
90% when i switch between radio to cd it gives me that error and goes back to radio agian but sometimes it plays the cd...
someone told me to disconnect the battery and leave it for 10 mins and it might work.. i didn't try that yet but i ordered the mp3 aux input and it won’t work unless i fix the cd ... right!!!

but how to remove the radio... any steps recommended

Remove airvent above it first, that exposes the two screws that hold the radio in place.

Simple! I'd recommend doing a search for air vent removal. The steps are exactly as PVR described, but first time I did it I wanted to give something a damn good thrashing! Soooo frustrating. Take your time.

If you can't fix the CD changer you can disconnect from the back of the stereo, there are posts on here about what's what in terms of connections.

thx guys will give it a try and will update u ;)
btw i went today to the agency to check the new z4 ... its

Is your CD stuck in the head unit or a multichanger in the back?

I dont have a clue if its the head unit! But I had a 6xmultichanger in back that used to jam all the time.

The only long term answer was to swap it for a new one (the older mutlichangers are renowned for jamming  ) or even swap in an mp3 interface of some sort instead (search the forum for options there).

Short term, i found giving the visible face of the CD holding cartridge -not the changer unit itself - a firm tap (or ten) with your fingertips and a jiggle will eventually free the offending disc and allow you to get the critters out. You'll probably hear it start to change discs, and once the motors stop whirring, press the eject button  .

well its stuck in the head unit. its a basic cd radio. but i'm thinking to change the whole thing... just doesn't know how it might look if i replaced with a different brand !!! i like it this way .. the original look :S 8)

Personally, I agree with you, the original head unit is right for the car. You could get a conversion piece to fit a standard iso head unit but I wouldnt do it!

Sorry I cant help you in removing the disc. :(

I have had the head unit out to fix the aux lead mod and, once past the air vent, pvr's advice (as always!) is sound. Just remember to disconnect the battery beforehand! Oh and put some protective tape on the exposed dashboard edge as when I replaced the head unit I scuffed it! Good luck.

you could always remove the raio and then take the cover off, you maybe able to see whats going on and manually eject the disc through the slot. I did this a few years ago on a CD headunit.

I had the 6CD cassette jam yesterday, two or three firm taps on the cartridge face, it whirred and popped out, now working fine,

Facing the cartridge along the right hand gap, there's a release tab thing. Just flick it and bobs yer ......

My magazine gets stuck from time to time too, and I use the "wriggle-it-and-tap-it-whilst-swearing-and-pressing-the-eject-button" technique. Knowing where the release tab is to be found might make it easier to eject the magazine at motorway speeds :D ... What chance an annotated photograph please?

Have just been out and checked the release tab thing and I may have been a bit hasty with my previous description. It is actually the individual CD holder, the one that's stuck, that I am flicking when stuck. It does however always free up immediately.

Take the cartridge out and put back in and watch the right hand side, as it will load each CD in turn. When stuck the one showing in the gap is the one needing a prod.

Ah yes, I know now what you are referring to.
I've found mine has been less problematic of late since I dismantled it into its individual CD carriers and gave everything a thorough Mr Sheening. If you try this, I'd recommend allowing it to thoroughly dry before reassembly lest Mr Sheen etches the surface of the CDs or damages the drive.

I'll give it a try and it makes sense because sprays like mr Sheen usually contain synthetic compounds rather than wax - the thing still skips over some bumps though, must look at the Aux fitting for an iPod
