CD Changer

Hello All,

New to forum so if this has been posted before I apologise but.....I have just bought myself a lovely Z4M roadster (what a car!), and whilst it is near perfect the 6 disk changer does not work. The head unit comes up with a No Magazine message. Has anyone else had this problem before? Does anyone know of a fix for it? Many thanks.
 
Time to get rid of it and re-wire with a bluetooth connection. CD is dead.
Stream FLAC or DSD files via a bluetooth DAP or your phone to the head unit utilising the old cd-changer allocation.
Works a treat!

It may have Been replaced by a bt unit or intravee or denison unit , lift the carpet on rear wall of boot where the changer is , an see if leads are plugged into something else or just not plugged back into changer, where are you based as you may get some help if someone is local
 
...or of course given it's a well known issue with the cd changer not being recognised or in some cases the magazine getting stuck you can give it a good sharp tap. Usually gets it working.

Mine's had the same message for ages and I can't be bothered as I don't think I have a new music CD anywhere...
 
There are definitely some threads on this forum (including a picture of one of my screwdrivers tapping the magazine :wink: )
I agree with the above comments. I found the magazine problematic and a right PITA.
Work on another connection method for your music.
 
Update: It seems a new battery was needed which has also cured the problem of the cd changer not working. Not quite sure how that works but there it is.
