Cd Changer Stuck

I've not really used the CD changer before, and I thought I'd give it a try...

It worked for a few hours, before stopping mid track. Now it looks as if CD1 (bottom one) tray is stuck out in the Magazine, and it won't move. I've tried poking it with a small screw driver, and I've pulled the power to it, so it does a full reboot. I've also tried the "manual" release method by swiping underneath the magazine - but it doesn't seem to do a thing.

Is there any suggestions anyone can make, or am I looking at disassembling the entire console to get at it ?
 
tried pressing and holding the eject button for ten seconds?

you can also try sticking a thin knife under the magazine and slowly pressing upwards. this tricks it into re-inserting the disk and ejecting the mag.

failing that, it's likely the cd has jumped out of the holder - which would mean at least partial disassembly :(
 
I've tried the knife trick, and holding for 10 seconds :(

The funny thing is, there is NO cd in slot 1!
