Cd changer problem

Get yourself some sort of MP3 integration, the changers do seem to get problematic with age.

Interesting... How do I do that? It's got to be easier than the faff to get at the cd changer... surely

Three options, aux which is cheap but no integration, then Dension and Intravee both of which offer full integration with steering wheel controls. Dension you can mount in/behind the glovebox, intravee can be mounted on the firewall in the boot behind the carpet or in the rear centre console where the cd changer is.

Ok thanks Ill look in to that. I'm not that brilliant electrically/electronics so Ill see if I can find a local aftermarket company to do it for me.

These are cheap and pretty easy to install once you get the centre vents out.

I've just found a GROM product that I think will suffice. Gonna look at that if I cant get the CD to work or might just get one fitted anyway and save any further agro

Just keep pressing the eject button whilst tapping it with a screwdriver handle. Might take 10-20 goes but it will work.

Same happened to mine the day before I was selling the car.

20 years in engineering, if it doesn't work.....get a bigger hammer

Mine has done this a couple of times. Someone suggested disconnecting the battery leads then reconnecting and it worked so before taking everything apart it's worth trying.

This. Disconnecting the battery for 30mins acts like a reboot of the car and, from what I have seen on here, will in most cases solve the CD cartridge problem. You'll have to reset the clock and the one-touch window functions... And you can easily find how to do the windows on here.
