CBS coding for shorter service intervals

My car was set up when new for long service intervals. This may suit some but not me.

Service intervals
8KA OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 30TKM 24MON
8KB OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 24TKM 24MON
8KC OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 24TKM 24MON
8KE OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 12TKM 24MON
8KH OILSERVICEINT 20000KM 18MON
8KK OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 15TKM 18MON
8KL OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 15TKM 12MON
8KM OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 12TKM 12MON
8KP OIL MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 8TKM 12MON

I used Protool to code the VO to option 8KP as mine was 8KA

This then coded the FRM and DME module.

However although the mileage now read 7000 miles the date was still showing 06/2026.

No matter how many times I reset it, it would not alter the date.

So plugged in ISTA+ forced reset of CBS and bingo.

Now it may of been because I had just reset the interval following my recent service and it was too soon. But I didn’t want to reset part through.

Anyway. Job done! Might save someone else the headache 👍

Good to know..I just change my stuff more frequently..but will get round to this..I notice with the digital cluster that some times it takes a few minutes on one to propogate to the iDrive..

Mine's also 18k miles 2 years for an oil change... :tumbleweed:

My cars first service entry when i bought it was 21k in the book.
I just do 5k oil 2 year brake fluid.
Totally ignore the service schedule.

Me being me, I just wanted the car to reflect my ownership. Yes I could have just gone off mileage but I like my ducks in a row.
