Hi guys

I was wondering if this has happened to anybody yet.

Cat around the neighboured keep sitting on the roof of my car (e85 soft top) and now theres a light scrape mark in it so I want to try stop them.

Do you know the best way which to repel them but that won't damage the roof ?

Thanks guys

Jude

I've got the same problem, started to notice very small vertical scratches above the rear arches,
couldn't work out where they were coming from. Then started to notice cat hairs on the roof. Not seen the offending cat on there yet so presume it's at night. Annoying tho and also can't work out how to stop it.

Had similar problem last year with a night cat taking a fancy to my roof, no damage to paintwork but you could see tiny wee pin holes where the buggers claws had been through the material :headbang:

Also a thread here on the subject http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=42221

Get a cabrioshield. Mine goes on everyday, no worries about faded roof/interior, roof drain issues, cats, bird poop best £99 I ever spent

Yes you can...

I had the same problem and the mat cured it within a few days...

You had a compulsion to sleep on the roofs of parked cars?[/quote

I would laugh, but i have done that on the odd occasion.

Stella artois has a lot to answer for..

I prefer curling up under a tree on nights (or days) like that :D

My ginger cat did this all the time, and she leaves loads of hair behind. Got some cat training spray (smells of lemons) and sprayed the roof. Hasn't happened since.

I've heard that lion dung keeps cats away :D

That's a sh*t response!

I used to use the ultrasonic sound motion detectors at the front and rear of the car, didn't really work tho to be honest, just accepted tbh. Plus I looked like a knobber placing these things by my car everytime I got home! Life's too short, cats do what they want regardless!
