Carver Amp advice

Hi

I have the Carver amp in the boot. When I fade to the rear, only the two small speakers above the subs behind the seats make sound. And the sound is poor (like a tin can).

I get nothing from the subs.

I take it the subs should be booming ? I've taken the plugs off the amp and refitted them and checked the fuse.

If I was to get another carver amp would it need to be coded ?

Interesting. I did try fading to the front and put my hand on the subs and couldn't feel any vibration. Tomorrow I'll pull the seat forward and put my ear to the sub.

It's certainly been said fading to back will cut the sub, not sure what happens if you fade all the way forward.
 
UPDATE

Your right ! The subs are powered with the front speakers. I had to remove the sub grills to see the speaker vibrate as the front speakers are pretty loud but I'm relieved I'm not having to buy a new amp.

The power of the Z4 search!
Just had a similar situation with my carver speakers.
Carvers now working ...........had fade on full rear speakers which I thought would have kicked the carvers in!
