Carplay back to iDrive?

Apologies there will be a very easy answer I suspect.

When I set up carplay on the car, I had a menu option on iDrive to switch from BMW iDrive to Apple Carplay.
Now, whenever I'm in the car with my phone i.e. every time, the car switches automatically to carplay mode. There are some occasions I'd be happy to just have the BMW iDrive system.

e.g. if I have been using carplay and Waze for navigation, I can't see a way to just go back to the cars inbuilt nav/maps?

I was sure all I would have to do is find the setting to switch back from Carplay to BMW iDrive but I cant see how to do that on the car menu.

Am I missing something here, or do I have to turn off carplay on my phone for those occassions I dont want the car to automatically switch to it?
 
From any running Carplay app on the screen, pressing the home button should return you to the iDrive menu screen, where you can use the BMW Navigation unless you are currently receiving route guidance using Google/WAZE/Maps etcetera

This also works for Media (will go to choosing media menu and the Nav/Map buttons unless as previous
