Looks good - all black ones so far I feel left out 😂

Be interested to hear both your thoughts on the back box delete as I was thinking of doing the same but don’t want it droning like mad

Have you both removed the one or both bits of foam from the engine bay too?

The back box delete was done on mine before I bought it. Mike at the Zed Shed did it and it sounds awesome. Some say the drone noise can get on their tits but I don't notice it. There has also been one piece of foam removed, not sure what difference that makes TBH. I suppose if I put it back I might notice something.
As for the soft top side panels, They cover up the nasty holes that appear when you drop the roof. They are a bit of a pain in the arse though to have to keep putting them in and taking them out. I only paid £160 and they do finish off the look. I don't understand why owners pay upwards of £250 for two pieces of moulded plastic. £160 was bad enough.

Where did you get your wheel Geometry done and what was the reason for doing it? Mine suffers from light wandering steering when you get it up past 60 ish mph But I believe there is an adjustment you can do to the steering column to rectify this. Mike at the Zed Shed does it for about £30. :?

From what I’ve heard - a LOT of difference especially with both removed - it’s only a quick job so you should try and remove the second see what you think. It was only on the 3.0 though so I don’t have them on my 2.5

Interested in this as I like a stiffer steering feel - where is the Zed Shed?

If you put 'The Zed Shed' into the Facebook search he's on there. He's very busy so don't expect a response too quickly

I agree the back box delete sounds great especially with the bangs/pops, if you like that sort of theng. I dont find it a drone but the other half does, good she doesn't drive.. :D

I had the geometry done at Blink Motorsports in Winsford, had it done on my old mazda mx5 which made abig difference hence got it completed on the Z. The fronts were slightly out, especially on the toe in. Now its done i have piece of mind that all wheels are in straight line and even, got new tyres so even wear and tear throughout. Not cheap but worth it IMO. I dont have any steering wobbles or pulling even up at high speed on motorways.

Mike (*******) did my Vanos, top bloke.

He replaced my rear brake pipes and cut and coded a Bentley-style flip key for my 2nd Z4 back in 2016 before he had premises and I was more than happy with what he did, as well as the price! That car only came with one key, so he also deleted the "missing" ones.

He opens up back-boxes and modifies them for a bit more sound, but not as much as a box delete! But it was a postal or courier service where things all went a bit wrong a couple of years ago, so I'd recommend going to him to get it done.

Here is the whole sorry saga if you have some time to kill! https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=105182
