Car won't start - these are the lights

Mine is dead enough that i can't pop the boot to access the battery - thus require some significant faff to even check the stats on the current old battery.
Jimmy, you know that for the coupe you can insert the key in the bottom of the swivelling bmw badge to open the boot in the event of no power right?

I did not.. however in writing my last post i did realise the almost obvious mistake i was making and tried last night ;) thanks for pointing it out though.

still cant' seem to find any AGM batteries that arent over £200 tho, ECP doesnt seem to sell them.

Yep took me a while to figure out also!
Why are you after an agm? The oem ones that came with the car were not and my understanding is they are really designed for auto stop-start cars.
I put in a bosch s5 from ecp for £70ish I think, been good for a couple of years so far.

I don't mind what i get as long as its the same type as existing but ideally better.

Me again!

So, I've had the 12yo battery in the car for over 24 hours now and not used the car. The levels have stayed around the 12.5v mark. I charged the dead battery up as well, to see if it was dead and it's been reading 12.98v for around 6ish hours now?!

Interesting! Perhaps the charger has recovered it? :s

Mine is a BMW battery, rated 70Ah and 760CCA

Still cant tell if it's AGM or not, i dont think it is but based purely on looks alone!

Hah thanks.. that's enough for me. Bought a 74AH Bosch S5 from ECP, fitted, problem solved. Looking forward to taking it for a proper spin at the weekend!
