Alright! So I fixed my key transponder issue and the car started up right away yesterday. While I was doing some work on the car yesterday (removing the previous owner's mess). I accidentally shorted the cigar lighter for a second. It blew the cigar lighter 15A fuse, which I replaced.
I continued with other work on the car and today when I went to start it, I found I had left the keys in the ignition a barrel. And now the car wont start at all, no crank no nothing. I even tried a new battery.
Today I tested the key with the newly arrived AK90+ Tool, I can read the key and the vin number stored is correct.
Could leaving the key inside the barrel overnight caused this? Could it been the short that caused some other fuse to go off? I checked every single fuse behind the glove box. What am I missing?

This is my previous topic where I had fixed the key issue big thanks to the members there who told me I am was missing the transponder when the key broke.

My recently purchased Z4 (E85 2003 3L Manual) came only with 1 key, and its not even the original.
While I was working on my car the other day, my key was still in the trunk lock and I accidentally hit it on my way walking around it and the whole key fell apart. Only damage I see is the plastic tab holding the metal key itself had broke, the chip inside and such is all fine.
So I put it back together and now the car wont start. What are my options?
I thought about maybe its the EWS and I need to do an EWS delete. Any resources will be highly appreciated...
