Car Tax - how much are you paying and has it been going up year on year?

I think for most e85's it's around £430?

Has it been that much a while or has it been going up year on year?

Do you think it's an unfair tax? Pretty sure my neighbour said his new BM's tax is... nothing! (/a pittance!) :?

All of the 6 cylinder E85/86s are Band K.

I paid £285 in March 2015 for my first E86, £295 in May 2016 for my next one that went up to £305 in May 2017 then £315 in April 2018.

My 3 Series dailies are also Band K. £315 in April 2019, £325 in 2020, £330 in 2021, £340 in 2022, £360 in March 2023, £395 in March 2024 and £435 in March 2025 but I'm sure it went up in April.

Look on the bright side though, I paid £735 for my MC in March - it would have been £760 in April. :(

Not quite... if you're lucky enough to own an Alpina RS, it's taxed as PLG (Tax class 11, over 1549cc) rather than an emission band, so £360 this year 8)

Yeah the M tax is a stinger on these. I tend to SORN it if I know I'm definitely not going to use it for a month, plus I SORN it all winter.

Cor blimey! I just checked and you're right, £760!!

It looks like it goes up around 3.5% pa..
blimey, that’s more than my G29 M40i and I thought £600 was extortionate

Mine is 430 this time, more than double the insurance :headbang:
I have a friend who has a Honda S2000, his is the same as a Z4M.
They're all too expensive but at least we're supporting our government in all it's endeavours....
