Does anybody have the knowledge to put together a list of seats that are a direct replacement for the crappy standard z4 seats.
Looking for bolt out bolt in without modding the frame unless that is also a bolt out bolt in affair.

any e46 seat is a direct bolt in replacement

Ive sold a few sets now n fitted them- really good cheap upgrade - you just have to bolt the seatbelt end buckle under the chassis of the seat.

Z4 Sports seats are very comfy indeed for my 6ft 4in frame and for sure will fit. Never tried the standard seats are they relay that bad?

Honestly a deckchair is more comfortable

First zed I test drove had standard sports seats. I felt, so probably was like I was sliding from left to right and back again every time I went round a corner.

Why they thought a 3.0 sports car was OK to leave the factory with them il never know. Got to accommodate the USA market fatties tho I guess

However, if a red set of heated, electric E46 sport seats come up, I might be tempted.

I'm assuming the electric side is also plug and play? (To be honest, I could forego the electric movement and heating!)

Good to know.

The fact the standard ones aren't too bad means that either:

a) I'm not trying hard enough
b) I'm one of the aforementioned fatties
