Not been stuck in traffic much since i have the car. Did get stuck last week - rainy day quite cool, got stuck in slow/stationery traffic (was not too bad as i had a cayman in front of me and a 911 behind me or at least the view was OK) about 20 mins of stop starting my temp light came on and went to red. Did not think too much off it as the actual gauge only went to just over half way and once i got going it dissapered.
Anyway just been out today - sat at the edge of the road talking to a friend on the phone - only a 15 min call, engione was running, but again the temp warning light went red. Obviously a reasonable warm day - but i did not have the air con on as the roof motor went last week and had the roof up and windows down, so nothing extra running on it to make it get hotter apart from the hands free phone connection. Not sure i could hear the fan kicking in.
Anyone else had overheating problems?
Car is going in to BMW to have the hood motor fixed on tuesday (i am nightmare to live with - cannot get out to drive with the roof down on probably the two hottest days of the year so far, just my luck :x ), so will get them to look at it, but anyone got any thoughts?
Oh i have checked the coolant levels and they are fine.
