Click on the link and scroll down. Is that an E89, or a mx5 in the flood? Eitherway, thats gone.

It's absolutely terrible. Horrible to happen at anytime of year but Christmas makes it even worse.

I hope if anyone on here is effected that the waters recede quickly and you aren't messed about by your insurers.

Cars can be replaced. It's people's homes being damaged and things that can't be replaced like old pictures etc being destroyed which makes it worse.

Grim news & you have to feel for those affected :(

If global warming IS happening then we can expect more of this in this country as we'll get warmer wetter winters.
14 degrees here in the Peak District today at the end of December is fairly un-heard of. It's hard to think anything else about warming to even the most sceptical, I do think weather patterns are definately changing, winds are stronger and we have more downpours, I've noticed it as I work outside. We're still coming out of the ice age so we're always going to get warmer but I do think we're accelerating it globally. That said the winter about 4 yrs ago we had -18 in November and 20 inches of snow here so who knows, it seems weather is getting more extreme to me.

I did think when I saw the picture that it was an E89 yes.

Regarding the weather patterns - up and down over centuries with patterns like this happening fairly regularly over time, not pleasant but not unexpected.

I have a house near Salford Quays (where the BBC and ITV are)...

This is a twenty second walk from my house there...
