Quick update . Fitted a stubby aerial , continuing the cleaning - I bought off a girl into horses & I assume she went to dusty yards with the roof down . Currently looking into exhaust tips and putting quite a few miles on her

Well it stopped raining briefly . So I decided take my wheels off one at a time . Then I could clean up the callipers & the discs ready for a lick of paint :- What could possibly go wrong ?
Wheel number one - after spending an age struggling to loosen the seized bolts I started on the locking one .
The locking nut sheared off . Why the hell can’t garages & tyre places use copper grease ????

The use of copper grease on wheel studs is a very open debate! :roll:
I'm personally all for a little dab to keep them rust free.

I never understand why some tyre shops refuse to use a torque wrench to tighten the nuts. If I see a shop buzz my lug nuts on with a rattle gun and call it done, I never go back to them. :thumbsdown:

Thank God it’s Friday .
Got a garage to remove my snapped off locking wheel nut key this week . They used something that they call a blade which is a single use sharp blade which is airtooled onto the nut and allows them to turn it . Also got new tyres fitted too .Uniroyal Rainsport 5 . Really happy .
Oh & I do like her arse !

Well after searching for months & even wasting some time to view one that was not as described, I am the proud owner of a fantastic hardtop. It needs a tiny bit of adjustment but it is in great shape
