CAr Alarm going off after time in sun.

I've been getting the alarm going off after it sits in the sun for a period of time. Doesn't happen every day. Went off several times today. Anyone have any idea why?

It could be the bonnet alarm switch in the engine bay. Disconnect it and see if that works, your car alarm will still work. The connector is in the middle of the 2 diagonal strut braces where they meet.
 
I didn't realize these cars even had an alarm. I thought it was just a factory immobilizer.

I assume due to the soft top it doesn't have ultra-sonics, so its just contact sensors that trigger it?
